Sensor and Automotive Technology Pioneer Dr. Marc Rosenmayr is Newest Actasys Inc Advisory Board Appointee

It is with great pride that we announce that Dr. Marc Rosenmayr has been appointed to the Actasys Inc. Board of Advisors. Our technology was developed to address the challenges that arise from the exposure of vision sensors — which are, in essence, sensitive electronics — to real-world environmental conditions such as adverse weather, high temperatures, and mechanical vibrations. By detecting, correcting, and reporting on function loss events, we enable perception, ensure thermal stability, and maintain overall sensor health. Dr. Rosenmayr’s technical expertise, strategic mastery, and vast experience leading global teams at the forefront of automotive sensor innovation will undoubtedly support our vision of perfecting real-time and full life cycle vision sensor performance.

Rosenmayr previously served as the CTO of Motherson Innovations, the global R&D arm of Tier 1 automotive supplier Motherson Group, where he defined, designed, and executed innovation projects and technology roadmaps to bring cutting edge technologies to maturity and deployment in the company’s business divisions. In this role, Rosenmayr also led innovation activities, collaborating with startups, innovation platforms, and strategic alliance partners across the industry. Prior to that, he directed a cross-functional team for program management, design and development, quality, production, and logistics as CEO of HELLA Electronics Corporation. Likewise, Dr. Rosenmayr is an active contributor to the automotive and mobility industry as a mentor and advisor. He is long-time member of SAE, a global association of more than 128,000 engineers and technical experts in the aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle industries, and acts as a consultant for OEM clients and advisory board member for promising startup companies.

“From perfecting our roadmap and product lines to accelerating the commercialization of our innovation in the automotive and mobility space, having Dr. Rosenmayr on our Board of Advisors will help us advance toward our vision on all fronts,” shared Miles Flamenbaum, Actasys CEO. “Further, his know-how will help us bring our unique knowledge of detecting, predicting, testing and mitigating sensor function loss to the right audiences – customers, policy makers, and users.”

Of his new role, Dr. Rosenmayr remarked, “I was particularly excited about Actasys’s stance within the larger vision sensor revolution. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter how sophisticated the sensor is – when they get dirty or wet, overheated, or misaligned, customers cannot trust the data they provide. As someone who has spent his career in the automotive and sensor space, it is clear to me that Actasys is offering a critical solution with application potential across the industry and beyond. I look forward to contributing my perspective and helping OEMs, Tier 1s, and Tier 2s understand the revolutionary impact of this technology.”
